A Lewiston woman recently almost won on The Price is Right .  "She left the stage empty-handed," reports The La Crosse Tribune,  "but hugged an actor from 'The Young and the Restless' on her way down.... 'I was up there acting crazy,' she said.  'Everybody liked me.'"  Sadly, "Brenda underbid her package by $2,319....  'It still hurts,' she said."

Penguin Poets join forces with 7 Corners  and Spoon River Poetry Review for an evening of poetry and booze, probably, maybe, or tea.  An off-site reading during the 2012 AWP conference.  March 1st, 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM, at Stage 773.  The reading line-ups are listed on the attached flyer, handsomely designed by 7C 's Steve Halle.  For my part, I'll be reading from my new book, Absentia , and helping to host the festivities.  Should be fun.  Come check it out.
